“Working against homelessness”
– Teach Resource Group
The TRG Community Hands Housing Initiative is dedicated to providing efficient and affordable
housing solutions for displaced or homeless veterans in Indiana. The initiative proposes to lease
studio efficiency living spaces at a monthly rate of $850 to $1,178 and one-bedroom apartment spaces
at $900 to $1,384, with basic utilities included. While cable services will not be provided, internet
WiFi will be available. TRG will require one month’s rent and a security deposit of equal value for
move-in. Leases will be available for 6 months, 1 year, and 18 months, depending on the veteran
participant’s current status.
The initiative will be managed by two part-time on-site staff responsible for groundkeeping tasks such as landscaping and snow removal, along with an operations manager who will oversee tenant needs, maintenance work orders, housing inspections, emergency assistance, and property security.
